A hoax is navigating swiftly on Facebook and Twitter that rapper Tupac Shakur is amazingly alive and ok in New Zealand, at about 15 years following his death.
PBS has been hacked. Teresa Gorman from PBS NewsHour struggled a lot during the weekend (Sunday) to inform people on Twitter and Facebook that the Tupa report is completely false because the PBS website was hacked.
This action was claimed by The Lulz Boat. Besides hacking the PBS with Tupac Alive message, also tweeted on Twitter various info for staff members, PBS company and passwords of several PBS stations.
According to Secure Business Intelligence, LulzSec has targetted some other corporations in the past month, however it is known to hack for “entertainment and infamy,” rather than financial purposes.
The report on PBS NewsHour “The Rundown” features the title “Tupac still alive in New Zealand” with the date of 29 May 2011 at 11:30 PM EDT. It contains a photograph of Tupac and early Monday morning, the post could still be seen on the PBS portal.
