Steve Jobs has left behind a fortune estimated by Forbes at $8 billion, primarily consisting of shares of Apple and Walt Disney, but is not yet sure how the inheritance will be divided between the four children, wife and sister.
Steve Jobs married, in 1991 to Laurene Powell-Jobs, with whom he had three children – a son, Reed (20), and two daughters, Erin Sienna (16) and Eve (13).
But Jobs had also a daughter from his previous relationship with Chrisann Brennan, Lisa Brennan-Jobs, aged 33.
Apple co-founder and iconic leader has left behind a sister, Patti Jobs, but also many friends and relatives.
His fortune was estimated in September at $8 billion. Forbes attributed the value to work for the development of Apple and Pixar animation studios.
However, most of the wealth is represented by Walt Disney Co shares obtained after selling Pixar to the group. Jobs at Disney’s stake is valued at 4.4 billion dollars.
Jobs had last year 5.426 million Apple shares, which would be worth over $2 billion according to the price revealed after closing of stock session in New York on Wednesday.
Steve Jobs ranked 110 in Forbes’ world billionaires top, claimed the 34th position as the richest Americans and 17th in Forbes ranking of the most powerful people in the world.
