iPhone 4 heated up and exploded in migflight of Australian Regional Express ZL319.Credit:Regional Express

No, it wasn’t a terrorist attack, but just an iPhone4 blast. Apple’s phones might delight any owner but the experience turned out to be different for a passenger on an Australian Airline flight. The problem? Well, the iPhone gadget appeared to be too…hot (literally speaking not metaphorically) to be used.

According to company’s reports, the Australian Airline Regional Express ZL319 airplane was en route from Lismore to Sydney when one of the passengers was amazed to see that the fancy iPhone 4 started to release a thick smoke along with luminiscence.

The aircraft was in middle of landing procedures when the incident took place. “In accordance with company standard safety procedures, the flight attendant carried out recovery actions immediately, and the red glow was extinguished successfully,” it is said in a statement issued by Regional Express.

After the landing, the troubling iPhone was given to ATSB authorities (Australian Transport Safety Bureau) but it’s not know yet what caused the explosion of the device.

History records unveiled that blowup of Apple products despite of not being frequent, yet it happned before and the incidents were tied to the lithium ion batteries overheating.

It has been already known that in 2009 the European Union began an investigation following multiple reports on iPhones and iPod Touches explosions (or catching fire) in flight over the U.K., The Netherlands, France and Sweden.

Moreover also Apple admitted issues with 1st-generation of iPod nanos (September 2005 and December 2006) due to the battery which would overheat and thus “posing a safety risk”.

Psychiatrists: Anders Breivik was legally insane when carried out Utoya and Oslo attacks

Anders Behring Breivik, the author of the gruesome attacks carried out on July 22 in Norway’s capital Oslo and Utoya Island, was mentally distressed when he committed the killings. According to newspaper Verdens Gang, that’s what the psychiatrists assigned to investigate the criminal responsibility of the Norwegian murderer said.

If this information is confirmed, Breivik is not accountable for the attacks therefore the right-wing extremist who killed 77 people four months ago can not be sentenced to prison, instead he should be kept in a psychiatric institution.

“Psychiatrists appointed by the court concluded that Anders Breivik Behring was mentally ill when he killed 77 people,” wrote Norwegian publication Verdens Gang.

The 240 pages report issued by psychiatrists Synne Serheim and Torgeir Husby, was presented to an Oslo court. According to the two psychiatrists, Behring Breivik was suffering of “psychosis,” a mental condition that would have altered Breivik’s normal way of thinking before and during the attacks.
