Young British man outraged public opinion after swinging cat Mowgli from tail, surrenders to police

A young Briton which was recorded by surveillance CCTV cameras while swinging violently a cat by its tail, gave himself up to police, said the organization Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) (scroll down for video link).

The suspect, aged 20, has sparked outrage from public opinion in Britain after the movie of the incident was shown on TV.

RSPCA announced on its official page that the young man from Ramsgate voluntarily surrendered to Margate police and now, helps officers with the investigation.

“We want to thank the press and public for helping our appeal after the incident in which a cat was twisted by its tail,” said RSPCA.

The 2-year-old cat named Mowgli, was not injured in the incident.

Cat owner, Michelle Buchanan, said the cat aggression lasted “more than 30 seconds” and the animal remained “confused”. “It’s awful. I can not believe someone would do something so barbaric. Mowgli is exhausted emotionally and does not want to go outside anymore. Before the incident the cat always stayed out.”

The RSPCA inspector, Caroline Doe, said that “it was a violent outrageous attack, against a cat. All those who witnessed the incident tat took place in front of a pub must have been as shocked and frightened as we were.”
