Tiger escapes Sibiu Zoo

A tiger escaped from the zoo in Sibiu, Romania. Animal’s supervisor apparently fell ill and the exotic feline simply left the cage. Police officers evacuated the zoo and now all the entrances are guarded in order to prevent access of the people.

Update: The tiger attacked the teams who were trying to catch him. In consequence the hunters solved the problem: they shot the animal dead. The information was officially confirmed.

Police warn people in Sibiu, through loudspeakers, especially in Golden Valley (Valea aurie) district -close to the incident spot-, to avoid the Zoo and the Astra National Museum from Dumbrava Forest, said the spokeswoman for Sibiu police, Anca Bloancă.
