Vatican website hacked by Anonymous: we punish the corrupt Roman Apostolic Church

Internet site of the Vatican was blocked on Wednesday afternoon after an attack claimed by the Anonymous hackers who say they want to punish the “corrupt Roman Apostolic Church and all its products,” reports AFP.

“Anonymous has decided today to besiege your site in response to the doctrine, liturgy and absurd and anachronistic concepts that your profitable organization (Roman Apostolic Church) disseminates them worldwide,” writes the Italian Anonymous website.

“This attack is not against the Christian religion or believers around the world, but against the corrupt Roman Catholic Church and all its products,” the communiqué added.

Anonymous, a group of hackers who last year claimed dozens of attacks against websites of large companies and governments, tried unsuccessfully to hack Vatican website in 2011.
