Guitarist Bob Welch, who joined Fleetwood Mac before building up a solo career, killed himself. According to Nashville, Tennessee officials, Welch passed away because of self-inflicted gunshot injury to his chest. He was 66.
Bob’s wife found him dead in their Nashville residence around 12:15 p.m., Nashville Police stated.
“All evidence leads to a suicide case,” a police spokesman said. It appeared that Welch did not let any notice behind.
Welch played guitar with Fleetwood Mac as of 1971. He quit the band in 1974, just before Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined the group.
Bob Welch’s biggest hits, “Sentimental Lady” and “Ebony Eyes,” came from his debut solo album “French Kiss,” which came tolife in Nov. 1977.
