Michael Phelps earned his 20th Olympic gold medal as he topped the podium in men’s 200-meter individual medley swimming race in London.

The silver medal was taken by fellow American rival Ryan Lochte while the bronze was claimed by Hungaria swimmer Laszlo Cseh.

It was a stunning dominance from Phelps who took the lead in early stage of the race and never lost it.

Furthermore, the 200m medley victory has just made Michael Phelps the first swimmer to win an individual event at three consecutive Olympics. So far this was the second gold for Phelps at the 2012 Olympics after he already had won the 4×100 freestyle with team.
