Jamaica’s Usain Bolt proved to everyone that he is the fastest human on Earth after claiming the gold medal in men’s 100 meters final at London Olympics (scroll down for link to video).
Bolt, who is nicknamed the lightning or thunderbolt, prolonged his dominance after finishing the 100m race in 9.63 seconds, thus setting a new Olympic record.
His country fellow Yohan Blake was second (9.75 s) while American Justin Gatlin claimed the third step of the podium in 9.79 seconds.
This victory represented Usain Bolt’s 4th Olympic title. As well known, he had gathered all gold medals possible at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 when he won the 100 m, 200 m and 4×100 m relay.
