Shocking moments for a surfer who was suddenly was attacked by a shark under eyes of his friend (scroll down for video).

The guy from Wamberal, was surfing with a friend at Kylies Beach near Diamond Head, south of Port Macquarie, when he was attacked. The incident took place at about 10.45 am.

The surfer was reportedly waiting for a proper wave but was surprised by a bull shark that bit off two fingers of his left hand and slashed his left leg. After fighting the shark, the victim escaped and survived thanks to the people around, who promptly provided him with first aid.

The bull shark that attacked the 29-year-old man had two meters in length. The species is known to be extremely aggressive.

“He lost the index finger past the knuckle, and another finger was just hanging by shreds.
“The thigh injury didn’t cause any any significant flesh loss – it was a serious cut rather than a chunk of flesh being bitten out of him and the paramedics said it would be able to be stitched up”, Constable Chris Rowley said
