At least 8 people are reported dead and 12 injured (including 9 in critical condition) following the derailment of a RER train near Paris.

The “Intercités Teoz Paris-Limoges (Haute-Vienne) 3657” train carrying 365 passengers derailed Friday afternoon at the station Brétigny-sur-Orge, south of Paris, and the accident resulted in “numerous victims”, French officials said.
