The suspect claimed to have placed “a bomb on board” and made efforts to divert the aircraft to the Russian resort of Sochi – the host city of the Winter Olympic Games.

Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said nobody was wounded in the incident and the suspect surrendered voluntarily to police, but the governor of Istanbul came up with another story.
