UKRAINE CRISIS. UKRAINE: POTENTIAL WAR: President Barack Obama warned Russia on Friday saying that the use of military force in the region “will have a cost.”

Obama’s threats hurt the ego of Russian lawmakers in the Federation Council, the upper house of Russian Parliament, who asked President Vladimir Putin for the withdrawal of Russian Ambassador to the U.S. amid the tense situation in Ukraine.

“After the recent statements by the U.S. President threatening Russia and claiming that Russia will face costs for the actions in Crimea, we have to act adequately, so we decided to address the (Russian) President and ask for a recall of the Russian ambassador from the U.S. The decision will be made by the President, but we have the “right to express our point of view”,” said Valentina Matvienko, the head of the Federal Council.

“Because of the extraordinary situation in Ukraine and threats to Russian citizens, Russian troops will be deployed in Ukraine. U.S. OVER UKRAINE: Obama Administration is considering the “potential costs” triggered by a Russian military invasion in Ukraine, warns a senior official at the White House, quoted by NBC News.

“We are closely monitoring the situation, we consult with our partners and analyze the potential costs that President Obama mentioned yesterday,” the White House said in statement.

The U.S. President has warned Russia that an army violation of Ukraine’s territory will have “costs” as it will “profoundly destabilize the region”.
