Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, launched recently a social network and a phone service in the United States, created for those involved in humanitarian causes and aiming to facilitate the donations, reported Business Insider.
The new social network is called TPO (The People’s Operator), after the name of a mobile phone network that exists in the UK since 2012, and allows people to donate 10% of their monthly bill to a charitable cause at their choice.

Regarding the social network “The People’s Operator” Wales says that is alike Twitter and aims to help people to rally, organize and support various causes in the virtual environment without worrying that TPO will receive a share of donations.
