Famed Romanian Actor Mircea Albulescu Died in Bucharest Hospital. He Was 81

Romanian actor Mircea Albulescu died Friday morning at Floreasca Emergency Hospital in Bucharest, where he had been admitted the day before. He was 81 year old. Actor’s lifeless body will be laid in the foyer of the National Theatre in the Romanian capital on Saturday.

Across his impressive career, Mircea Albulescu played hundreds of roles on stage and starred in more than 70 movies. He announced his retirement from public life back in 2013. The legendary actor suffered of heart issues and underwent a triple heart bypass surgeries two years ago, according to local media outlets.

“I am waiting for the death which seems to get closer and that’s a hard burden. My wife passed away several years ago, but lately I feel her inside the house, often criticizing me for the mess and my disordered behavior. Perhaps she is present around because I get increasingly closer to the other world, her world.
