Rapper Coolio apprehended at LAX Airport over loaded gun incident

Famed American rapper Coolio was arrested at Los Angeles Airport on suspicion of gun possession.

The rapper and another man were taken into custody on Saturday for smuggling a loaded firearm at the Terminal 3 of the LA airport. They tried to trick the screening checks and get a stolen pistol and its ammunition on board the aircraft, writes LA Times.

Police at LAX Airport arrested a 39-year-old man during the X-ray screening procedures as scanners of the administration for security of transport detected the presence of a firearm in a carry-on hand luggage.

53-old-rapper Coolio, on real name Artis Leon Ivy Jr., and his companion were detained by the LA police for possession of a stolen firearm and a bail was set for them at $37,308.
