Pro-Russian separatist leader in eastern Ukraine, Alexander Zakharchenko, was murdered on Friday in an explosion that took place at a cafe in central Donetsk, according to AFP quoting a separatist news agency. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) believes that the death of the separatist leader is the result of the conflict between “Russian terrorists and their sponsors.”

“The leader of the People’s Republic of Donetsk, Alexandr Zakharchenko, died in a terrorist attack,” writes DAN agency adding that “the circumstances are to be clarified.”
According to the agency, a bomb blast emerged at 17.30 (14.30 GMT) at the local “Separ” cafe in the center of Donetsk.
