Russian Dmitry Itskov created a female android that strikingly looks like a real one. The invention is quite realistic, at least for science, researchers say.

A while ago, the 2045 Initiative program (aka Russia 2045) made public the first android head which now emerged into Alissa – Russia’s first female robot.

Alissa features a mobile face and can even “talk” as her head is “mounted” on a dummy’s body.

Built and programmed by Moscow’s Neurobotics, Alisa is able to move her eyes and mouth based on 8 points of articulation unlike other android heads which show more than 30. The robot features basic AI due to the Neurobotics conversational software, which synchronizes the mouth movements to the words spoken by its speech synthesizer.

Dmitry believes that by 2045 people will be able to transplant their brains into these artificial android bodies.
