A deadly explosion took place in Turkey’s capital of Ankara Sunday evening and local authorities announced that the blast resulted in many victims. According to preliminary information, at least 34 people died and more than 100 got wounded after a bomb was reportedly detonated by the left-wing militant organization Kurdistan Workers’ Party PKK (SCROLL FOR VIDEO).
Turkish media cited the local governor as saying that a bomb would have been placed in a car which collided with a bus.
Preliminary information suggest that the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) or an affiliated group is responsible for the attack.
“According to initial findings, it appears that this attack was committed by PKK or an affiliated organization,” Turkish officials told Reuters.
A plume of smoke could be seen 2.5 kilometers away from the spot of the incident.

This explosion comes just a month after another bomb blast claimed by Kurdish militants had killed 29 people in Ankara.
