    Romanian actor Ion Lucian died Saturday night (31.March.2012) at 21.15 at Floreasca Hospital in Bucharest. Lucian would have turned 88 on April 22.

    Ion Lucian was hospitalized earlier this month at Floreasca Emergency Hospital being suspected of having bronchopneumonia and anemia. Ion Lucian refused 98 times to leave the country.

    Ion Lucian, a director and founder of Excelsior Theatre, was born on April 22, 1924, in Bucharest and graduated Bucharest’s Royal Academy of theater and music in 1945.
