Typhoon Haiyan first struck eastern island of Samar on Friday morning, flooding streets and leaving residents without electricity and communications. The wind reached speeds of 313 and even 378 kilometers per hour.
Saturday Haiyan decreased in intensity, but the situation may change at any time. It goes to Vietnam, where it could strike the cities of Da Nang and Hue Sunday morning.
