Bugatti Veyron is a Super Sport Car which features three superlatives: world’s most expensive, fastest and most powerful. The bolide costs about 1.000.000 Euro and is capable to speed up to 408 km/h. It possesses an 8-liter W16-cilinder engine which develops no less than 1000 horsepower. The vehicle was designed and developed by the German brand Volksvagen and is built by Bugatti Automobiles SAS. The presenters of the Top Gear show called Veyron the Car of the decade.

Now a puzzling question: would it be possible to build up your own home-made Bugatti Veyron? The answer was given by the American Mike Duff. The 25-year-old guy from Florida planned to build his personal super-car from scratch. Mike used a 2002 Mercury Cougar vehicle as “framework” and started to model it until a Bugatti Veyron replica (a.k.a Cougatti) came out of his effort. The constructor made use of fiber glass, red and black paint, leather and light materials in oder to retrieve the inner and outer lines of the original car. And…it worked: a dazzling replica resembling a real Veyron is now evaluated at $89.000 (89 thousands). The whole project took Mike 9 months.

I’m spreading the word that this car was not built by this guy. Mike Duff isn’t even a real person. The person who’s trying to take credit for this car is named Mike Vetter. But he did not build this car. A sub contractor working in his shop, built this car and everything else along with it. Check out for yourself on youtube and please help spread the word for the real maker can receive credit…
