Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, has died on Wednesday at the age of 56. He changed entirely the world vision on personal computers and set up one of the greatest empires of the modern technology. (scroll down for videos)

His death was “predicted” by a photograph that appeared in August (SEE PHOTO). The picture unveils a Steve Jobs extremely weakened and ravaged, being held by someone to be able to stand.

Jobs death was announced today by Apple, a company he and his high school friend and colleague, Stephen Wozniak founded it in 1976 in a garage from California. “We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs has died. Steve’s brightness, passion and strong feelings were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve our lives. The world is infinitely better thanks to Steve,” it was said in a statement by Apple.

“Steve died “peacefully” surrounded by family members,” his family said in a statement.

Jobs has long fought a pancreatic cancer and in the end he was defeated. Although his disease has not advanced rapidly, Steve Jobs chose to take care of his beloved company and brought amazing technological changes on the mobile market.

He underwent surgery to remove pancreatic cancer in 2004, had a liver transplant in 2009, and took several long vacations in the past period.
