As you say, this is an satirical program and that should explain everything. I’m an Romanian that live in Italy from more than 10 years and I have to say that i’m NOT feel offended by Alan C. with this song. If we consider us as a big nation we must be tolerant with this type of criticisms/satire …

hi to everyone, i’m italian and i live in the south side of it. i listen to the zoo since it borned and in all this time they jerked around a lot of people never falling in racism tendencies or in some other discriminating intents.
the zoo has always talked about politics, actuality facts, economy, religion, mafia, gay people, dj’s, showmen, the pope, drugs, condoms, noons, black people, people from north and south italy too.. what about me, for example, people from south italy, Naples expecially, are descripted as a poor, mafia and too “smart” or thieves people.. and everyone of us know that it’s just a satirical and funny way to make noise and make the people laugh about this unpretty facts that, anyway, happen in every corner of the world. what about my people?! we never felt offended by the zoo because it’s so truly silly and easy to bark as a dog against satire, it’s a behavior really stupid and ignorant – i feel -. Neapolitans are not a mafia or thieves people, and everyone who knows it can’t feel offended ’cause noone can’t feel hurted if understands that it’s just satire.. what i think about you wrote is that, you’re right, everyone has got his own sensibility of course, but it’s in the same time necessary to stop and consider the fact as it is: evryone knows that people from Romania aren’t all gipsies, or all criminals, or something.. and they know it too.. so, where is the racist intent? why gay people never felt offended if called “fags”?.. or politicians if called “beggars”? why not the church never felt offended even if jerked around about his own ancient clichés against gays or condoms?.. or black people if called “niggas”? .. come on bro, we’re in the 21th century, something from history and from actuality we learned certainly and – i repeat – noone has got the same sensibility, but for honesty -this way- we should say that in the same time noone’s got the same cleverness?
i can’t never feel offended if anyone jerks around a fact that i never did…

        ..be smart.
