The publication National Enquirer got a new habit: to run photographs of dead celebrities lying in the coffin. After having recently published cover pictures of Whitney Houston in open casket, now the online environment is flooded by images with Elvis Presley following his death (see photos below).
The supermarket weekly magazine posted snapshots with the corpse of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll to remind people that Elvis is really dead.
Elvis Presley was found lifeless on August 16, 1977, by Ginger Alden, his fiancée, in the bathroom of his Graceland home from Memphis, Tennessee. The resuscitation attempts failed and the announcement on musician’s death was made at Baptist Memorial Hospital, at 15.30.
