Three years ago, President Barack Obama welcomed Jacob, an 5-year-old (at the time) African-American boy who came to visit the White House along with his parents. The boy’s father, Carlton, a former Marine, was leaving the White House after a 2-year-service, begun during the Bush administration. (scroll down for picture)

Carlton asked for permission to take a picture with the president, but his son Jacob Philadelphia apparently wanted something more. When Barack Obama approached, the kid told him somethingand and within the next moment, the president leaned over and Jacob grabbed his hair. The whole story was discovered by the New York Times journalists.

“I want to know if my hair is exactly like yours,” Jacob Philadelphia told President Obama. “Why don’t not touch him, to convince by yourself?” Obama replied.

When Obama lowered his head, Jacob hesitated at first.

As of Jacob, he dreams of becoming president. “Or pilot,” adds the boy, now aged 8.

President Barack Obama, whose popularity decreased enormously compared to the year when he was elected (2008), still enjoys the confidence of the majority black population in the U.S.
