Sometimes you can break records by just simply growing old. It happens in India where a 96-year-old farmer allegedly aspires entrance to the Guiness Book of World Records as the oldest new dad on Earth, for the 2nd time (see photo).

Ramjit Raghav and his wife Shakuntala Devi, 52, are living in Haryana, about 50 kilometers away from capital New Delhi. The couple enjoyed the appearance of their child Ranjeet who was born 5 October 2012.

In fact Raghav broke his own record as he has already been the world’s oldest new dad since November 2010 when couple’s first son Vikramajeet was born.

“I didn’t take any performance enhancers … I just prayed to go to complete my family, either a boy or a girl,” said the indian farmer in a statement.

According to Haryana local social welfare department Raghav is aged 96.

Raghav revealed for The Times of India that he was a bachelor for most of his life before meeting Shakuntala a decade ago.

“After living together, we planned to extend our family and dreamed at having 2 sons. With God’s grace, our dreams came true,” Raghav said.

The Times wrote that Raghav credited his potency to his diet and lifestyle as he has been a vegetarian his entire life.

The world’s previous oldest dad was believed to be held by another Indian farmer on his name Nanu Ram Jog, who apparently had his 21st child when aged 90.
