Cameraman Gelson Domingos shot dead during police operation

Brazilian television cameraman was shot dead while filming the police operation against drug traffickers. Although Gelson Domingos da Silva wore a bullet proof vest, the wound from the shot proved to be mortal. Practically da Silva “managed” to film his own end.

The operation as part of the war against drug trafficking, was led by BOPE (Special Operations Battalion) in a notorious area from Rio de Janeiro.
