Police German shepherd dog bites Arizona highschool student girl

3 policemen presented a gun safety report at Nogales High School a few days ago but apparently they did not pay much attention on their dog who was at large. It seems that the German shepherd escaped the car before making the students disperse and scrambling for safety inside the school. The handler rushed out and caught the dog but a 15-year-old girl had already been attacked. Fortunately she escaped with little scratches and bites which turned out not to be severe. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.

According to police sources, the dog was left out of the patrol vehicle by someone who opened the door. The situation is somehow puzzling for the officers who knew that the doors of their canine unit Ford Expedition vehicle are locked and can not be opened from outside. The SUV was delivered for a check at a Tucson company and the inspectors found out that the door malfunction was caused by a fuse failure.
