Winning and crashing a Murcielago almost at the same time? Like Metallica said “SAD BUT TRUE”. A crying, laughing or wondering situation???

From big wheels to…small wheels is not the same thing!!! And that can be confirmed by Frito-Lay truck driver David Dopp who was the happy winner of a Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640 following a Utah contest. The SUPER CAR featured 631 horse power (pretty much comparable with a truck) and was valued at more than 200,000 bucks, that’s quite an amount.

Anyway, an amazing piece of technology ranked as one of world’s top supercars but unfortunately handled by Mr. Dopp. Apparently he could not enjoy too much his “toy” because he made look more like a truck now as he crashed his gift shortly after hitting the road.

Shortly after getting the keys to the V-12 powered Italian bolide -whose name was given after a famous Spanish fighting bull-, the truck man tried to have a nice ride on the streets around his home in Santaquin, Utah. Furthermore before he hopped on board, the cautious police called Mr Dopp and warned him to take it easy when exiting the roads but it seems that he did not listen too much the advice: same local police was called later by a witness who noticed the Murcielago on a field outside the roadway.

David said he was driving the green Lambo with a speed of 65-80 km/h through a 55 km/h limit area when suddenly the car skidded on a patch of “black ice or gravel”. Then the vehicle jumped over the curb, went off-road and about 25 meters into the field ending up with a destroyed bumper and wrecked oil pan in what was called a …”speed related accident”. Fortunately Dopp is insured and now his Lamborghini was taken to Las Vegas for repairs. The truck driver regarded his day as “an emotional roller coaster”.
