Four individuals were killed on a Pennsylvania highway when a shooter gunned down 3 people before being shot dead in a police standoff (scroll down for video report).
Three police officers were wounded in the shootout on Friday in Frankstown Township, about 160 kilometers from Pittsburgh.
According to authorities, the gunman apparently started firing randomly at people while driving his vehicle.
“Police isolated the conflict in Frankstown Township, Blair County. The gunman no longer poses a threat to the people living in this residential area”, the Blair County Emergency Agency posted on its Facebook account.

The Pennsylvania highway killer took down 2 men and a woman, unveiled the Altoona Mirror, quoting the prosecutor, Blair County District Attorney Richard Consiglio.
One officer was struck in the bulletproof vest and another was injured by broken glass when the suspect opened fire on his vehicle. The 3rd state trooper was harmed in a collision involving the suspect, Consiglio said.
