Plane disappeared in Venezuela: designer Vittorio Missoni and his wife among missing passengers

A light aircraft carrying six people, including Italian fashion designer Vittorio Missoni and his wife, went missing above Caribbean Sea off the coastal line of Venezuela, according to the online edition of Corriere della Sera.

According to press reports, four Italian citizens were on board, including Vittorio Missoni, one of the administrators of the fashion house bearing the same name.

Venezuelan Minister of Interior, Nestor Reverol confirmed that fashion mogul Vittorio Missoni and his wife were on the plane.

The plane which took off from the island of Los Roques – about 150 km from mainland – and headed to Caracas, disappeared off radar screens at about 11 a.m. off the coast of Venezuela.
