A woman showed boundless courage, swimming along with a great white, and the video of the close encouter was posted on Youtube where it gathered nearly 200,000 views and still counting.

It is not the first time when the woman known as “Ocean Ramsey” swims with sharks, reports DailyMail.

The YouTube clip, which attracted nearly 200,000 hits, was made on Valentine’s Day as “Ocean Ramsey” wanted to express her love for sharks.

She was shot by photographer Juan Oliphant, specializing in capturing underwater events across planetary oceans.

“Many people fear sharks because they were unfortunately portrayed on television and in films as killing machines,” said the shark-lover. “In reality, sharks are intelligent, calculated and generally very cautious in terms of proximity to people,” she added.

Ramsey made her swimming debut with sharks at the age of 14. Her longest time spent underwater without oxygen is 5 minutes and 45 seconds. “Sharks need to be seen as wildlife and appreciated for their role as top predators of the ocean”, says Ramsey.
