Spaniard Esteve Rabat (KALEX) won the Moto2 race in the Malaysian Grand Prix at the Sepang Internationa Circuit on Sunday 13/10/2013, but the competition was shortened after a terrific accident involving five motorcyclists, informs AFP (scroll down for videos)

The high-speed race was shortened from 19 to 12 laps following a serious crash in the turn 14 of the opening lap that involved five riders. The first to fall was Spaniard Axel Pons who triggered a subsequent four rider pile-up, but fortunately none was severely injured.

Finally, Esteve Rabat managed to win the contest by defeating his country fellow Pol Espargaro (KALEX) as well as the Swiss rider Thomas Luthi (Suter) .

Briton Scott Redding (KALEX), the leader in the overall standings, finished the race on the 7th position.
