A private aircraft Cessna 525 CitationJet CJ1 with the registration number N711BX fell from the sky and crashed near Cedar Fort in Utah on Monday killing the two people on board.
The authorities said the plane has a capacity of 8 to 10 people but it is believed there were only two occupants inside.
Flight Radar informs that the turbofans-powered jet was en route from Salt Lake City International Airport to the Tucson International Airport when the tragedy struck.
According to air traffic control reports, the pilot encountered an engine failure in mid-flight. Nevertheless, he announced he could still fly the aircraft which disappeared off radar a couple of minutes after the emergency mayday.
It is still not known whether the plane exploded in midair or on ground impact.
