A driver managed to capture on tape the dramatic moment of impact of the Tupolev plane which violently hit the freeway near Vnukovo airport. The video shows how one wheel coming from landing gear of the wrecked aircraft, impacted a moving vehicle that is deflected into the median barrier.
Media in Russia said that fire trucks at Vnukovo were under maintenance when the tragedy struck, so the emergency crews appeared on the scene 50 minutes after the fire started.

According to preliminary reports, the plane, which is part of low-cost Russian Red Wings fleet crashed after making a second landing attempt. It swerved off runway, reached highway Kievskoye, broke into three pieces and caught fire. The causes of the accident are not known yet.
Russian Emergency Situations Ministry confirmed that the plane was forced to make an emergency landing. Russia’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev urged the authorities to investigate the accident.
