Following the accident Scruggs suffered serious face and hand injuries. Apparently she featured multiple facial cuts, shoulder slashes and despite of being hospitalized and stabilized, the doctors were constrained to amputate her left hand.
23-year-old Lauren Scruggs, a style website owner, was injured as she got off a small 2011 Aviat Husky airplane at Aero County Airport in McKinney, Texas where she landed after a trip to view the Christmas lights from above.
Now Miss Scruggs is receiving treatment at Parkland Memorial Hospital where she is surrounded by her family (parents Jeff and Cheryl and her twin sister Brittany). According to latest news she is able just to wink one of her eyes and move the remaining right hand.
