Part of the roof of the stadium of the Dutch club FC Twente based in the city of Enschede, collapsed, many people being caught under the rubble.
The incident occurred today (July 7, 2011) around noon at the southern side of the facility during work of increasing the stadium capacity. The renovation procedure on Twente’s stadium started in March 2011.

“Part of the roof collapsed. There are people under the rubble, we do not know how many,” said a police spokesman. According to Dutch media, at least 14 people are injured, the daily De Telegraaf telling that 12 people have been transported to the hospital, and two are still under the rubble.
