OSCARS 2014: 86th Academy Awards Ceremony: Nominations and Winners

OSCARS 2014. Film lovers from around the world are gonna keep their eyes on Los Angeles where the best movies will be rewarded with the famous golden statuettes tonight. This year’s Oscars will be disputed by Holywood’s big names but also the European film industry.

86th edition of the Oscar Awards take place tonight in L.A.

Oscar Awards, March 2, 2014. Dozens stars including Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Matthew McConaughey or Brad Pitt are expected to make their arrival on the red carpet for the lavish evening gala which is aired live from California. The host of the event is Ellen DeGeneres.

Movies “Gravity” and “American Hustle” are on top of the nominations list, with 10 categories each. The two productions are closely followed by “12 Years a Slavery”.
“American Hustle” directed by David O. Russell, has already registered three Golden Globe Awards in its portfolio but also the drama directed by Steve McQueen, “12 Years a Slave” is likely to get a golden statuette after receiving nine nominations.
