Acer announced release of Windows Phone smartphone Liquid M220

A few years ago, Acer released Allegro, a Windows Phone smartphone that buzzed unsuccessfully the mobile market, fact which determined the company to quit for a while.

Manager Jason Chen had confirmed earlier this year that Acer decided to resume the partnership with Microsoft and launch new Windows Phone smartphones and Liquid M220 is now a clear example of their promises.

Like many other companies developing “Windows Phone gadgets“, Acer was motivated by the drop of the licensing costs that used to be required for running this operating system.

Windows Phone OS enjoys quite a success in the lower segment of the mobile market, and in consequence Acer thought that it wouldn’t be a major risk to announce the release of a low price terminal.
