Russian Tu-95 bomber intercepted off Japan
A Russian Tu-95 bomber was intercepted off the coast of Japan on two separate occasions on March 20, according to the Japanese Ministry of Defense, which released details of the incident.
The bomber, codenamed as the “Bear” by NATO, was spotted over the Strait of Korea between South Korea and the Japanese island of Kyushu, before being intercepted by F-15J fighters and escorted outside the busy strait.
