VIDEO: US driver parks car near Lake Erie only to find it later like an ice block

An American man who parked his car overnight in a parking lot on the side of a lake in New York’s Hamburg-Buffalo area, found it the next day covered entirelly in a thick layer of ice, reports local ABC station WKBK.

Strong wind gusts created large waves across Lake Erie causing the water to spill over the banks and splash the nearby cars. And the freezing temperature overnight did a nice job by transforming the vehicles into some nice ice sculptures.

The owner, 24-year-old Justin Yelen, who said he left the car in the parking lot before meeting his friends for some drinks, hopes that the summer season will come earlier this year.

“I hope summer comes soon,” said Yelen, who at this moment has no clue how he’s going to get his car out. He says he had no idea this was going to happen to the car.

Update: The #icecar was freed and towed in the end but with a partial ice sheet still on it!
