Papan Chilibar, the actor who starred in the film “Eu când vreau să fluier, fluier” (If I want to whistle, I whistle) has died of leukemia. He was suffering of a severe form of the disease. His fellow actors tried unsuccessfully to find blood donors.

Papan was sentenced to 21 months in prison in March 2011 for an aledged theft. Because of the disease Papan served his sentence in hospital after being hospitalized at Fundeni in February 2011.

He suffered from a severe form of leukemia, and efforts by actors who played in the movie to find blood donors have proved powerless.
