Spectacular video images were captured in Chicago during an intensive storm on Thursday. An amateur cameraman captured the moment when the tallest building in the city – Willis Tower – was hit by lightning.

The incident did not cause any problem to the building. Instead, the video (shot accidentally by the American guy) goes viral around the web.

Illinois has faced a series of storms on Thursday. It was estimated there were more than 1100 cloud-to-ground lightnings in just one hour during the peak of the storm.
