Virtual pirates hacked YouTube page of Sesame Street show

The page was apparently removed (offline) on Sunday afternoon and its users were greeted with a message from the YouTube administration saying that the page was taken down “due to repeated and serious violations of the Terms of Service. ”
People who connected to this page early in the morning were able to see inappropriate explicit videos instead of the famous Muppets puppets from series “Sesame Street”.
“The operating rules of the site YouTube prohibit the addressed content,” said a YouTube representative. “As always, we remove any inappropriate material as soon as we learn of its existence.”
Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization that manages the show “Sesame Street”, posted on Sunday, a public statement apologizing for the incident: ” The page of our program has been compromised and we are currently working with YouTube and Google to restore the original content of the page. We always try to provide appropriate content according to the age of our users and hope to solve this problem soon. ”

A message posted on the the page of “Sesame Street” before the material to be removed, assigned the hacking responsibility to some users of YouTube. One of the two alleged authors denied responsibility of the criminal action, in a statement that appeared on his website.
“I did not hack the page of Sesame Street show. I’m a YouTuber who complies with TOS”, said the owner, who signed using the pseudonym “MrEdxwx”.
“I work pretty hard to make quality video games and, most importantly, I respect the rules of operation of the online community,” he added.
Children’s series “Sesame Street”, which combines entertainment with the educational component, claimed eight Grammy Awards, 118 Emmy Awards and is broadcast in over 140 countries.
