7 died in Christmas gifts shooting in Grapevine, Fort Worth

A tragic incident took place near Fort Worth, Texas where 7 people were shot dead apparently after they had just opened their Christmas presents. The authorities believe the shooter is among those killed.

The victims, 3 men and 4 women aged 18 to 60, were discovered in the same apartment which revealed a horrific scene with bodies spread throughout the kitchen and living room.

At the crime site (Lincoln Vineyards complex in the neighborhood of Grapevine), police found 2 guns apparently used in the massacre. “It looked like the people just celebrated Christmas as the apartment was decorated with a tree and there were various open gifts around”, a police officer said.

Investigation into the case revealed that 6 members of a Grapevine family opened Christmas gifts just before a relative wearing a Santa Claus suit showed up, started firing the weapon and killed them all before committing suicide.

Wow. The grammar and factual errors are almost as tragic.

  2. Simon says:

Grammatical errors do not kill people, but bloody guns… do.
Weapons must be banned soon in America, otherwise those kind of tragedies will be repeated to.. infinity ! 🙁

And last time I checked, guns can’t pull their own trigger. People kill people! Guns just happen to be the instrument of destruction. Banning guns won’t solve the problem. Banning ignorant gun owners will. I guess in your case, you’ll welcome the burglar into your house, and in mine, I’ll make sure the perp doesn’t ever do it again! Let alone, threaten, scare, or attempt to cause harm of any kind to another family on Christmas!

I do not know Tim, how is there in your hood, but in my neighborhood ~ Titan (from Bucharest) I never heard (or see) the sound of the gun in my 29 years of life, and also in my block did not ever anyone (burglar, thief, whateva..) break any apartment, even if close to my street lives many dubious Gypsies.
And yes, here we can live decently without guns in our homes. 🙂
