Spanish tennis star and seed number 5 Rafael Nadal won for the third time the Madrid’s ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event after defeating 6-2, 6-4 Swiss player Stanislas Wawrinka, the 15th favorite, in the final on Sunday.

This is the fifth title in seven finals played by Nadal since returning on his favorite surface in February, after a seven month break caused by a left knee problem.
