VIDEO: Mark Webber loses wheel that hits cameraman in German Grand Prix
In the ninth round of the German Grand Prix, Mark Webber entered the pits for the tire change. The Australian was allowed to drive away, although one of mechanics failed to tighten the right rear wheel (scroll down fro video).
Meanwhile, the Red Bull technicians pushed Webber’s car to the pit box where they fitted it with a new tire. But the incident was costly for Webber who got finally back on the track but on last position and almost one lap behind the other pilots. In communications with his team the Australian expressed his concerns about the health condition of the cameraman, but the Red Bull reassured him that everything seems to be fine:
“We’ll keep you updated with how he feels. Now he is back on his feet and looks good, which is a great relief.”
