In an interview for AFP on Thursday, French President François Hollande, warned of the ‘dangers’ that threaten the Schengen area if an agreement is not reached in Europe concerning the resettlement of refugees coming from the Middle East and Africa.

“Yes, Schengen is endangered if there is no registration mechanism to distinguish refugees from economic migrants and ensure the relocation of real asylum seekers. Schengen area will be put in serious jeopardy if there is no control at the external borders of the European Union’, stressed the head of the French state.
