Bogdan Cosmin Gigina, the policeman who lost his life last Tuesday while needlessly smoothing the way for Romanian Interior Minister Gabriel Oprea’s motorcade, was buried with military honors on Friday at Ghencea Cemetery III in Bucharest.

Besides family, the funeral service was attended by hundreds of colleagues as well as the IGPR police chief Petre Toba, the general manager of Bucharest Police, Mihai Voicu, the head of Bucharest Traffic Police, Cristian Crai and the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Interior, Florea Oprea.
